Qormi Cheese & Wine Event – The first edition of Qormi Cheese and Wine Festival which will be held on the 7th of September in front of St George’s parish church Hal Qormi. We will provide over 40 different types of the best cheese found in Malta and over 60 various types of both local and foreign wines. The cheese may also be served as platters in combination with the wine of your choice, something so typical with you all!

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple story lines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.

Commemoration Of The Great Siege & WWII –  Gozo will commemorate the two Victories of Malta of – 1565 and 1943, organised by Xagħra Parish, in conjunction with the National and Regional Celebrations Committee within the Ministry for Gozo and Xagħra Local Council.

Msida Bastion Historic Garden Guided Tour XX (2019) -A Din l-Art Ħelwa volunteer will lead a 90-minute tour of Msida Bastion Historic Garden on Saturday, 7th September at 10am.
During this event, the tour guide will recount stories regarding duels, suicides, heroism and explain the funeral and military architecture, symbols of death.

Sunday 8^th September 2019

Swieqi Sports Fest 2019 – 5K RUN | 5K WALK | 1.4K FUN RUN from 07:30 at the Swieqi Local Council. A donation of €10 is requested. Money will be donated to Dar Tal-Providenza and Fondazzjoni Pippo.

Traditional Victory Day Gun Salute – The traditional Victory Day full gun salute will be fired from the Saluting Battery in Valletta on Sunday 8th September 2019 by Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna. The programme will start at 11.45am. Special guided tours of the Saluting Battery and the nearby underground War Headquarters Tunnels will take place at 10.30am and 12.15pm. The Saluting Battery will stay on open till the end of the traditional Victory Day regatta. The Saluting Battery is the best vantage point from where the regatta can be viewed. Feast of the Nativity Of Our Lady – The Feast of Our Lady of the Nativity is celebrated in the towns of Naxxar, Mellieħa and Senglea in Malta and Xagħra in Gozo.
